We have added this up-to-date information for those who will be attending the 2008 Annual General Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. Even if you are not attending the conference, you may be interested to see what the Division Officers have planned. In addition to the symposia and poster sessions, the Public Health Division (Y) will hold the annual business meeting and a social "mixer" with many other ASM Divisions is planned. Annual Business Meeting
Of special note, please plan to attend the Division Y business meeting on Tuesday, June 3 at 1:15pm in room 153A. We will be discussing upcoming Division Y events, including working on the Division agenda for the 2009 meeting in Philadelphia, nominating candidates for office, and working on Division communications (website, list-serv, etc).
Division Y Lecture
Joe Joseph Award Presentation sponsored by Gen-Probe
Bala Swaminathan is this year's recipient of the Gen-Probe Joe Joseph award and he will deliver the Division Y Lecture in Session 199/Y on Tuesday 6/3 in room 107A.
Social Mixer
All ASM Divisions (except for P which holds a separate banquet) will hold a mixer party in the BCEC Ballroom Tuesday (6/3) from 7-9pm.
